Artist
Francisco Lomuto
Francisco Lomuto was a Buenos Aires-born tango pianist, orchestra leader, and composer who lived from 1893 to 1950. He built his own orchestra by 1922 and recorded over 950 tracks across his career, making him one of the more prolific figures in Argentine tango. His arrangements often incorporated jazz-influenced instrumentation alongside the traditional tango sound, and he also helped found SADAIC, Argentina's main body for protecting composers' rights.
