Smash Mouth

Smash Mouth is a rock band from San Jose, California, formed in 1994. They started out rooted in ska punk before shifting toward a catchier, hook-driven alternative pop-rock sound. They broke through in the late 1990s and became one of the more recognizable pop-rock acts of that era, partly through their association with the Shrek franchise.
